Abstract
At present approximately most of the death from traffic accidents and falls result from thoracic and head injuries.
The various injuries to the thoracic wall may exist with mild and severe symptoms, and therefore careful radiographic examination of the chest is very important in all patient with chest trauma. In these presentation, discussion of the injuries to the esophagus, heart and great vessels will be omitted among nonpenetrating trauma of the chest.
An evaluation and correlation of the, radiographic and clinical findings, in 4 patients with bronchial and pulmonary injuries are studied. By continuous drainage for pneumothorax, failure of reexpansion of the lung suggests possibility of the bronchial rupture and pulmonary contusion, which is represented shadow of the homogenous density of the lobar and segmental distribution.
